Clinging to the Cross
Sex Ed
My first year on staff, I met a student from Cali. She was really interesting. She graduated from a private christian high school and never received any sex education. So, during her sophomore year in college, her very innocent & prudish college girlfriends told her how babies were made. To this, she replied with a yelp, “GROSS!!” I heard her from across the hall.
I found out...

Knotty knotty...
I seriously think I startle masseususueuses whenever they get to the knots in my shoulders. No amount of grunting, painful elbow kneading, or knuckle cracking will ever get these untangled… They’re my battle scars (whathaveyou) from the many years of lifting praises to the Lord (and bad posture).
My whole body’s in much more pain than before… But I feel much more awake...
I love this woman.
Tried hitting up momma yunie on her cell to wish her a happy mother’s day but in typical momma yunie fashion, she didn’t pick up. Used some injinniuity and called the pops instead & got to talk with the mother. Conversation went as such:
Jinnie Yunie: Happy Mother’s Day!!! Groggy Momma Yunie: Thanks… Jinnie Yunie: Why are you always asleep when I call?! Groggy Momma...

Apparently there are Father Schools in the US teaching Korean immigrants how to be better fathers (less authoritarian, more involved and loving) to their affection-seeking wives and Americanized children.

Parents were asleep 10 years ago when I called about 911.
Parents were asleep last night when I called about Bin Laden's death.
The brudder woke up Momma Yunie & this is how the convo went...
Jinnie Yunie: Momma, Osama's dead.
Groggy Momma Yunie: Huh?
Jinnie Yunie: Osama BIN LADEN's dead!
Groggy Momma Yunie: Oh yeah? Really?
Jinnie Yunie: Yeah! BIN LADEN!
Groggy Momma Yunie: Oh, okay... How'd your football game go?
Jinnie Yunie: ..........We won.
Groggy Momma Yunie: That's good...
Jinnie Yunie: ......Yeah, go back to sleep. I'll talk to you later.

Twin girls, Brielle and Kyrie, were born 12 weeks ahead of their due date. Needing intensive care, they were placed in separate incubators. Kyrie began to gain weight and her health stabilized. But Brielle, born only 2 lbs, had trouble breathing, heart problems and other complications. She…
