Knotty knotty...
I seriously think I startle masseususueuses whenever they get to the knots in my shoulders. No amount of grunting, painful elbow kneading, or knuckle cracking will ever get these untangled… They’re my battle scars (whathaveyou) from the many years of lifting praises to the Lord (and bad posture).
My whole body’s in much more pain than before… But I feel much more awake...
I love this woman.
Tried hitting up momma yunie on her cell to wish her a happy mother’s day but in typical momma yunie fashion, she didn’t pick up. Used some injinniuity and called the pops instead & got to talk with the mother. Conversation went as such:
Jinnie Yunie: Happy Mother’s Day!!! Groggy Momma Yunie: Thanks… Jinnie Yunie: Why are you always asleep when I call?! Groggy Momma...

Apparently there are Father Schools in the US teaching Korean immigrants how to be better fathers (less authoritarian, more involved and loving) to their affection-seeking wives and Americanized children.
Some things never change...
Parents were asleep 10 years ago when I called about 911.
Parents were asleep last night when I called about Bin Laden's death.
The brudder woke up Momma Yunie & this is how the convo went...
Jinnie Yunie: Momma, Osama's dead.
Groggy Momma Yunie: Huh?
Jinnie Yunie: Osama BIN LADEN's dead!
Groggy Momma Yunie: Oh yeah? Really?
Jinnie Yunie: Yeah! BIN LADEN!
Groggy Momma Yunie: Oh, okay... How'd your football game go?
Jinnie Yunie: ..........We won.
Groggy Momma Yunie: That's good...
Jinnie Yunie: ......Yeah, go back to sleep. I'll talk to you later.

Twin girls, Brielle and Kyrie, were born 12 weeks ahead of their due date. Needing intensive care, they were placed in separate incubators. Kyrie began to gain weight and her health stabilized. But Brielle, born only 2 lbs, had trouble breathing, heart problems and other complications. She…

My first time leading a summer project team was to Cambodia. It was my 3rd time there and suffice to say, year after year, Phnom Penh’s weather did not relent. It was dang hot, but I fell in love with the heat, the country’s smells and mostly, the people. They actually have their own number system. At one appointment with a recent PRC, I just took all the Follow Up booklets because...

What is happening in Japan is a tragedy.
The other day I saw a picture of a mother saying her goodbyes to her daughter who was lying there lifeless, trapped in a crushed car. It absolutely shatters my heart that there may be more people who were washed out to sea than the bodies that were…
lovebug: God be glorified →
well said fellow yunie.
heidiyun:
Everybody keeps asking me what I think about what happened in Japan so here’s my response. God be glorified. Even through the death, the destruction, the seemingly never-ending struggles.. Through it ALL God will be glorified. God isn’t angry at Japan. God loves Japan. Disaster doesn’t point to…

florrrrres (rollll the rrrr)
it’s sad.
whenever i see flowers & luscious green forests now, the things that come to mind are: snot, red eyes, and on good days, beavers. allergy season is soon approaching & my face is not looking forward to it.
i look forward to heaven when i will actually be able to stop & smell the roses.

Babies
I usually never ever remember my dreams, so when I do.. it’s a small feat. But the other night, I dreamt that I was literally giving birth… in a warehouse of all places. I knew who the father was and there was no ring on my finger. I saw the baby daddy’s face here and there running around the warehouse and I think his name was Kevin, Ben, or Dan. He looked like an ordinary asian...

i wrote my obituary today. don’t worry, it was an assignment. i am not always wallowing in depression and thinking of how i want to die and what i want to accomplish. it was actually very helpful because it put a lot of things into perspective. but it also made me question a lot of the things i’ve…
still got sooo much to learn.
